AshSwap Governance

VortX DAO, as a veASH holder, actively engages in AshSwap’s voting procedures, with voting rights extending to locked VXD holders.

Voting on Gauge Weights

  • Every 2 weeks, on Thursday at 00:00 UTC, users with veVXD governance power are invited to cast their vote on AshSwap’s gauge weights. Once a vote is submitted, it cannot be changed or withdrawn during the voting period. Each voting round lasts 13 days and concludes on Wednesday at 00:00 UTC.

  • veVXD holders have the freedom to distribute their votes among various pools during gauge weight votes.

  • Users can also opt for delegating their votes to other addresses or entities in exchange for additional incentives (see Bribes).

  • Quorum: 10%

Voting on Governance Proposals

  • The weighting of governance proposals is based on the veVXD vote results. In a scenario where 60% of veVXD votes are in favor of the "FOR" option and 40% are in favor of the "AGAINST" option, VortX DAO will conduct a vote on AshSwap reflecting the 60% majority supporting "FOR" and the remaining 40% supporting "AGAINST.”

  • Since AshSwap's voting power will diminish during the midpoint of the voting period, VortX DAO has decided to wrap up its own voting result 24 hours ahead of AshSwap's implementation of a 50% reduction in governance's voting power. To account for the reduced voting duration, VortX DAO will commence the voting process for these proposals during their pending phase on AshSwap. As a result, VortX DAO members will have the opportunity to cast their votes on these proposals before they are officially live on AshSwap.

  • Quorum: 15%

To participate in either the Gauge Weights vote or the Governance vote, voters are required to have their VXD tokens locked for the entire duration of the voting period on VortX DAO.

For Governance Proposals, the VXD tokens needs to be locked until the conclusion of AshSwap's voting as well. Therefore, voters will need to keep their tokens locked until voting processes on both platforms have been completed.
