2️⃣Scenario 2: Your current lock has entered the 12-epoch lock duration

Step 1: Enter the additional amount

Step 2: Click on the “Lock” button

A window with updated remaining duration will pop up. If the remaining lock-in time is less than 12 epochs, your locking period will be extended by an additional 12 epochs. It is crucial to carefully review the information before confirming, as the extension is irreversible. Once the period has been extended, the penalty for early unlocking will be calculated based on a total lock duration of 24 epochs instead of the previous 12 epochs.

Step 3: Click on the “Confirm” button and confirm the transaction in your wallet

Step 4: Check on the Lock Details. As you can see, both the amount of Locked VXD increased and the Remaining Duration increased.
